Who’d have thought the state, home to the well
known film Mississippi Burning, on racism
is now home to the Cooperation Jackson plan,
in the state’s capital city – with an inclusive
economy of community participation
in a makeover structure ‘from the ground up’
rather than ‘from the top down’ which serves
invisible shareholders
in a time of the collective resigned sigh,
“there’s nothing we can do” –
Jackson is doing it
in the famous words of poet Dylan Thomas,
who Bob Dylan took the name Dylan –
“Do not go gentle into that good night”
