Cook the Spaghetti:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Prepare the Herb and Garlic Mixture:

In a large heatproof bowl, combine the sliced garlic, red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, oregano, rosemary, and basil. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Heat the Olive Oil:

In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers and is just about to smoke.

Sizzle the Herbs and Garlic:

Carefully and slowly pour the hot oil over the herb and garlic mixture in the bowl. The oil will sizzle upon contact, releasing aromatic flavors. Stir gently to combine.

Combine with Pasta:

Add the drained spaghetti to the bowl with the sizzling herb and garlic oil. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly. If the mixture seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water to loosen it up.
